Panzer Dragoon: Remake along with Panzer Dragoon II Zwei: Remake have both been announced today!
Forever Entertainment is partnering up with Sega Holdings Co., Ltd. to co-create both titles together and looks to launch them in 2019.
The original appeared on the Sega Saturn way back in '95 until it arrived on computers in '97 and was last seen released on the PS2 in 2006. Panzer Dragoon II Zwei showed up in '96 for the Sega Saturn, and the last time we saw a Panzer Dragoon game was on the Xbox in 2002- Panzer Dragoon Orta.
The image above is from Orta, (found here) where you can see Orta herself riding her dragon through the skies causing chaos.
The first Panzer Dragoon also got an OVA one year after its initial release in '96. Kudos if you actually have the VHS today.
Since the remake info was just announnced, details are scarce other than that we know the remakes will be a sort of "refreshed" take on the original design with shiny new modern features and graphics.
More is to be shown as we head further into 2019.
Another nice Panzer Dragoon Orta art piece from Pixiv user 祭野薙刀 below.
