Arc System Works announced on Friday that its game Guilty Gear Strive will be adapted into a television anime series titled Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers. The anime will be produced by SANZIGEN, known for works like BanG Dream! and D4DJ First Mix. Directed by Shigeru Morikawa (Yuu Kou), who has experience with SANZIGEN's D4DJ and D_Cide Traumerei series, the anime will feature scripts by Norimitsu Kaihō (known for School-Live! and Akudama Drive), with Seiji Mizushima serving as associate producer. Further details about the project will be unveiled at Arc System Works' Anime Expo panel on July 5.
Guilty Gear, first released on PlayStation on May 14, 1998, is celebrated for its high-speed gameplay, intricate mechanics, versatile combo system, anime-inspired visuals, and metal music soundtrack. Guilty Gear Strive, the newest installment launched in June 2021, continues this tradition. Its "Season 3" DLC characters were introduced in August last year, expanding the game's roster and gameplay experience.
