Absolutely massive news here for San Fransisco's J-POP SUMMIT, happening August 7th-9th.
Eir Aoi, the female singer famously known for singing the theme songs of anime like Kill la Kill, ALDNOAH.ZERO, and Sword Art Online will be debuting in her first ever US performance as a Guest of Honor at J-POP SUMMIT!
The J-POP SUMMIT website mentions that she'll not only be putting on a live performance, but also holding a meet-and-greet session, selling merchandise, and 'more' which is planned.
Following in the footsteps of another Japan Town convention, Animation On Display, J-POP SUMMIT 2015 will be held in an all-knew location.
This time its being held in the Fort Mason Center as well as Union Square after some previous years' grid-locking debacles.
J-POP SUMMIT is a sterling event however, despite recent problems with crowd-control and general programming issues.
Hopefully though this year there will be plenty of space. But Eir Aoi though! Wow!
Another special guest announced, is the band, Gacharic Spin.

This band, described as "colorful and energetic" will have a similar lineup to Eir Aoi's. Recently their second single “Don’t Let Me Down” (to be released on June 3rd , 2015) has been placed as the ending theme to Dragon Ball Kai.
