Japanese rock band ONE OK ROCK collaborates with Monster Hunter with a new video, seen below.
A new augmented reality (AR) game is being developed by Niantic in collaboration with The Pokémon Company International. The game involves hunting monsters in the real world using a smartphone and camera. Players can select from various weapons like Sword & Shield, Great Sword, Long Sword, Hammer, Light Bowgun, and Bow. The game will feature 13 monsters at launch, including creatures like Great Jagras, Rathalos, and Diablos.
One unique feature is the Paintball, which allows players to mark monsters for later hunting, either solo or with friends. Even when not actively playing, the player's Palico can automatically use Paintballs on passing monsters for later pursuit.
Niantic, known for creating AR games like Pokémon GO and Pikmin Bloom, is developing this game. Meanwhile, CAPCOM's Monster Hunter Rise, the latest in the Monster Hunter series, launched initially on the Nintendo Switch and later on other platforms. An expansion called Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak was released for various platforms, expanding the game's content.
