Greetings to all from a galaxy far, far away!
Game Update 7.9.1 has arrived in Star Wars: The Old Republic, bringing new additions to the game while setting the stage for Galactic Season 11 and the road toward Game Update 8.0!
One of the biggest upcoming highlights is Galactic Season 11: “Light and Shadow,” launching August 18, with returning rewards from Seasons 2 and 4, including companions Fen Zeil and Amity, alongside new companion customizations, armor, companion-compatible mounts, titles, and Stronghold labels. I don't know about everyone reading this, but I'm pretty stoked for these companion updates.
Customization is also getting some love in 7.9.1 with a new Accessories category added to the Cartel Market. Unlike complete armor sets, these individual pieces are designed to give players more freedom when creating their characters' looks, with this first new wave placing a particular emphasis on cybernetic accessories.
Looking further ahead, the Feast of Prosperity returns October 6 through November 3 with a new Waiter Droid customization for C2-N2 and 2V-R8!
Meanwhile, the future of SWTOR is already taking shape! The first phase of the Game Update 8.0 Public Test Server is underway, allowing players to test new abilities for Sentinel/Marauder, Vanguard/Powertech, and Sage/Sorcerer.
Players can also get their first taste of the upcoming Children of Nul Operation, with its first boss available for testing in both Story and Veteran modes.
Two Twitch Drops are also available as part of the current campaign: watch for one hour to earn the Ruhnuk Poster Decoration, or five hours for the Vectron Colette EM4 Mount.
The galaxy is getting busy again, so now is a great time to jump back into Star Wars: The Old Republic, prepare for Galactic Season 11, and see what's ahead as the journey toward Game Update 8.0 continues!
