As of March 3, 2024, fans can now enjoy streaming and downloading four iconic works by Kagrra, including singles Uzu and Shiki, as well as albums Core and Shu, which were originally released by King Records between 2007 and 2009.
These selections, previously unavailable on streaming platforms, now make their official debut on subscription services. Additionally, on March 1, 2024, music videos for the lead tracks Irodori no Sanka, Uzu, Shiki, and Sakurazukiyo were simultaneously released.
Formed in 2000, Kagrra featured vocalist Isshi, guitarists Akiya and Shin, bassist Nao, and drummer Izumi, blending traditional Japanese arts with modern rock to create a unique "Neo-Japanesque" style. Isshi's use of ancient Japanese words and kanji in his lyrics contributed to their distinctive sound and visual aesthetic, rooted in the concept of "Wa" or harmony. Despite the loss of Isshi in 2011 and the band's disbandment on March 3 of the same year, this new re-release serves as a tribute to Kagrra's legacy, inviting both longtime fans and new listeners to experience their beautiful music once again.
